Historic Downtown Charleston Destination Wedding | Rebecca and Sam

Rebecca and Sam were married on a sunny Saturday afternoon in the beautiful gardens of The Palmer Home in historic downtown Charleston, South Carolina.  As I chatted with them throughout the course of the day, I was surprised to learn that they have already been a couple for over 10 years. I say surprised because they are still head over heels in love with each other and even a little bit giddy for each other (I can say that, right?). When they had their first look at The Battery, both of them teared up when they saw each other. And after that, they were barely apart for the rest of the day, which is saying a lot because weddings are a lot of work for a couple and there’s a lot of people that have to be greeted and hugged and spoken to, after all. But Rebecca and Sam are a team in every way. And so they were married in the garden at The Palmer Home, and then they led a parade of all their guests (with marching music provided by the Masker Band) down East Bay Street to Marion’s In The French Quarter for their reception. Oh, and I can’t forget to mention Pepper, their very patient and adorable pug, who was an excellent supervisor and champagne spill cleaner throughout the day. There actually may be more photos of Pepper in this blog post than the couple. It happens.
