Jessica and Michael: Destination Winter Wedding in Savannah, Georgia
This is Jessica and Michael. On the first Saturday of the New Year 2013, they were married in the beautiful rose gardens of the Savannah Botanical Garden. Jessica’s father and brother walked her down the beautiful path and around the fountain to Michael, where they exchanged their vows before a beaming group of family and friends. Everyone was smiling so wide that it seemed to actually warm the garden enough that no one appeared to mind the slight chill in the air as the sun set behind the trees. Obviously, I can’t truly know why everyone was so happy, but I have a couple of guesses…. you see, as the evening progressed, it became very obvious how much everyone there adored Jessica and Michael. There was so much warmth and love in the room that no one could stop smiling. And my favorite thing of the whole day, besides Jessica’s beautiful eyes, was Michael’s laugh. He laughed a lot, and it was such a happy and fun laugh (not like the devious ones my friends always seem to make around me), Michael’s laugh made everyone around him smile and laugh too. That’s a great way to bring in a New Year. And a new marriage.
That is how you have a destination wedding in Savannah in the wintertime. With lots of laughter and love and Guinness beer. And some tasty food too. Thanks to Jessica and Michael for having me be a part of your special day. By the end of the night, my cheeks hurt from smiling, which is exactly perfect. Happy New Year to everyone!
