Sara and Adam | Springtime Wedding in Chicago

“When you realize that you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible”   -Harry, in When Harry Met Sally

Today I’d like to introduce you to Sara and Adam.  Sara and Adam were married by Father Frank on a beautiful Saturday afternoon at the Church of St. Teresa of Avila in downtown Chicago.  They are a really special couple.  I know this because everyone at their wedding told me so.  I also know this because they showed it with every decision they made for their wedding.  For example, in his sermon, Father Frank revealed that Sara and Adam wanted so much for him to marry them that they scheduled their wedding date around his travel schedule.  He was clearly touched by their devotion to him and he was obviously attached to them as well.  More than once during his sermon he became emotional, as did Sara and Adam.  It was really a beautiful and touching ceremony.  Afterwards, Adam observed, “Well that went off with only one hitch.”  Also, I overheard a sweet conversation between a man and another guest at the reception, “Wasn’t Sara the most beautiful bride you’ve ever seen?”  The man responded, “The second most beautiful.  The most beautiful bride I’ve ever seen was my wife.”  As awesome as that was, his wife wasn’t even there to hear it…. lol.  Oh, and I should mention that Sara and Adam met playing soccer.  Otherwise, some of the photos in the slideshow might just seem…. odd.

And that, my internet pals, is how Sara and Adam got married on a beautiful spring day in Chicago and then proceeded to celebrate into the wee morning hours surrounded by the laughter and love of a lot of really awesome family and friends.  Thanks to everyone for being so much fun to spend the day with.  Thank you Sara and Adam for choosing to have me be a part of your special day.  You guys really are just as amazing as everyone says you are.  And finally, thanks for being so sweet to me after my first encounter with Chicago traffic.  That stuff is really impressive.
