Today I want to tell you the story of how Ebony and Elaine renewed their vows on a gorgeous stormy afternoon at the historic Hotel El Convento in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico. Ebony and Elaine have been married for seven years now, but they wanted to have a slightly more traditional wedding celebration than their original wedding day. So they decided to have a destination vow renewal in Old San Juan after falling in love with the city on previous visits.
Old San Juan is definitely the kind of city you fall in love with. The weather is fantastic, the colorful buildings are like candy for my camera, the food is incredible, the history is fascinating, the food is incredible. I know I said the food was incredible twice, but that’s because the food was incredible. (To see more Old San Juan photos, be sure to check out the travel photos I posted on Instagram)
And so that’s how we all found ourselves gathered together on a perfect summer afternoon in a 373 year old building that began its life as a convent. The cheers and applause of Ebony and Elaine’s families and friends echoed off the walls of the centuries old building as they completed their vow renewal with a kiss. Seven years down, and forever to go.
Congratulations Ebony and Elaine! Thank you for including me on your amazing adventure. Wishing you many more years together full of adventure and joy!
