Amanda Summerlin

Amanda Summerlin (they/them, b. 1971, Hazlehurst, GA) is an Atlanta based mixed-media artist. They explore themes of identity, gender, loss, and nostalgia through the mediums of photography, drawing, and painting. Amanda earned a BFA in Painting from The Savannah College of Art and Design.

 

Their work has been featured in multiple group exhibitions, including Portrait 2024 at the Atlanta Photography Group, The Contemporary Portrait 2024 at the SE Center for Photography, Storytelling 2024 at the Atlanta Photography Group, the GCPL Photo Annual Exhibition 2024, and also in the inaugural group photo publication from the Atlanta Center for Photography entitled 'New South - Volume 1: Reciprocity'.

 

They currently live and work in Atlanta, GA.
