“Where the telescope ends, the microscope begins. Which of the two has a grander view?” – Victor Hugo

Hello again everyone.  Today it is my incredible honor and pleasure to share photos from Brooke and Roy’s insanely fun wedding last weekend at The 173 Carlyle House in Norcross, Georgia.  If you’ve been hanging around here for a little while, you might remember Brooke and Roy from their epic engagement session in Tuscon, Arizona, home of the sunburn (at least for pale-skinned redheads like me).  And if you remember their super fun and hilarious engagement session, you probably have been looking forward to their wedding as much as I have.  There’s too many neat things to tell you about the day, so I’m just going to blurt it all out rapid-fire and skip the silly segues… here goes.  Roy’s dad is also named Roy, and he’s also really mischievous.  Brooke got ready in her childhood home, an historic farmhouse where her parents still live.  Brooke and Roy have 4 crazy dogs at home, and so their cake topper was a portrait of them with their dogs.  Brooke’s veil was made from lace from her great aunt’s wedding dress, which had also been worn by 2 other women in her family at their weddings.  Roy’s Aunt Peggy made a ba-jillion mini cheesecakes for the groom’s cake, and they were so delicious that she couldn’t put them out fast enough.  Brooke and Roy are loved really really hard by a lot of people.  And they should be, because they are amazing.  Also, this wedding had some of the funniest toasts I’ve ever heard, and just a few almost brutal revelations about Brooke, Roy, and a couple of other people that we’re not going to call out publicly… but I will say that it’s hard to focus a camera when you’re laughing so hard that you have tears in your eyes.  So glad for auto-focus…bridal portrait photos in norcross georgia-1

And that, internet, is how the two kindest people you will ever meet have the funnest wedding you will ever see.  My cheeks still hurt from smiling and laughing all day.  And I want to thank you Brooke and Roy for having me be a part of this amazing day.  And for Arizona, and the photo-bomb session within a session, and all the other little things.  It was a joy to get to know you both, and your family and friends, and I’m really gonna miss you guys.  Congratulations to you guys and I hope you have a wonderful first Thanksgiving together as husband and wife.

PS.  I’d also like to thank my friend and photographer extraordinaire, Raven Shutley for her exceptional work as second photographer for Brooke and Roy’s wedding weekend.  You are amazing.  Thank you.
