“Love is the condition in which the happiness of another person is essential to your own.” -Robert A. Heinlein
New York City. Central Park. Twenty of their favorite people in the whole world. One amazing weekend. Those are the main ingredients for Desiree and Kevin’s NYC destination wedding, along with the mandatory blood, sweat, and tears and all other fun stuff that goes into assembling a wedding. Intimate destination weddings are probably my favorite kind of wedding. There’s a certain sense of togetherness that happens when you take a small group of people and put them in an unfamiliar environment. They become almost like a team. By the time the actual wedding happens, they’ve had a chance to go on a few adventures and get to know each other a little bit, and they’re more relaxed together. Which is pretty neat for me as a photographer, because it makes it a lot easier for me to get them to misbehave and make fun photos together. Not that anyone was misbehaving. I never said that. I’m just saying that this was one fun group of people to hang out with, and they may or may not have some great stories to tell about their adventure to the Big Apple.
