Today I’d like to tell you the story of how Douglas and Russell were married on the most beautiful summer morning surrounded by beloved family and friends. One of my favorite things about being a wedding photographer is the incredible people I am so fortunate to meet, and being part of their most magical days. And it’s truly magical every time.
For their wedding day, Douglas and Russell decided to have a morning celebration. When I arrived, it was sunny and perfect outside. After finishing up with a few last minute details, they ran inside to get dressed together, nervous and excited. Their beautifully dressed guests began arriving and assembling outside. Soon everyone was seated and the ceremony began.
Standing before everyone, with the sunlight sparkling in their eyes, they spoke their vows to each other. One of the things I learned about Douglas and Russell as we got to know each other in the months leading up to their wedding is that they are deeply thoughtful, and the vows that they had each written were touching and heartfelt. When Douglas said that his younger self had never dared dream this day might come, you could practically hear all of our tears streaming down our faces.
There are many ways to spend a summer morning, but there are not many better ways. Thank you Douglas and Russell for trusting me to document your incredible day. It was an honor to be witness to your wedding day. Congratulations!!
