Hazlehurst Georgia Wedding Photos | Dawn and Charles

Today’s wedding post is a very special one, because it involves some people who are very special to me. This is the story of Dawn and Charles’ wedding in Hazlehurst, Georgia at Hillcrest Baptist Church. Dawn is my sister-in-law, and the mother of my favorite nephews, Zach and Quenton. Dawn and Charles met about two years ago and it’s been really sweet watching their love for each other grow. Getting to know Charles took a little time, because he’s a quiet man in the middle of a lot of not quiet people. But I’ve seen how kind and loving he is, and how hard working he is, and it’s clear that he’s exactly what they all need right now. And I’m filled with relief and joy and happiness for all of us.

This wedding had lots of beautiful moments, but there’s one thing that really stood out to me, and that’s how happy Zach and Quenton were for their mom. You could see the love in their eyes when they looked at her throughout the day. You could see the joy in their giant smiles when they walked her down the aisle. And as they stood up with Dawn and Charles during the ceremony, they radiated happiness. And maybe a little nervousness. But mostly happiness.

There’s no one who could ever replace my little brother in any of our hearts. But there is one incredible man who can be an amazing stepdad for Zach and Quenton, and the warm and loving husband that Dawn needs, and that man is Charles. Congratulations Dawn and Charles. You are a wonderful team and I am honored to call you family.
