Katie and Eric and their incredibly stylish and unique wedding on Jekyll Island
Today we meet Katie and Eric, who were married in a very touching ceremony at Driftwood Beach on the north end of Jekyll Island just off the coast of southern Georgia. They chose Driftwood Beach because… well, because it’s spectacular. And because it’s very near where they were engaged last summer. As you scroll through these photos, you will notice that Katie and Eric aren’t exactly very traditional. But, in the words of the immortal and amazing George Takei, “Oh myyyyyyyy,” these two have so much style. Every choice they made was made deliberately and thoughtfully, and every element of their wedding was exactly as it should have been.
And that is the story of how Katie married Eric on the beach in between rain storms on a beautiful Sunday afternoon, surrounded by their favorite people. Speaking of rain storms, the storms that came through the southeast last weekend were incredibly intense. It was such a relief to be able to see the sky again after driving all day in pouring rain to get to Jekyll. I’m pretty sure that Katie and Eric and their family and friends brought the sunshine with them, because the next day it was raining cats and dogs… sideways. So thanks to everyone for being so much fun, and for bringing the good weather with you. I hope I’ll see y’all again soon.
