Today I’d like to introduce you to Emma and Paul and Ranger (he’s the furry blurry one). Emma and Paul will be getting married soon on the east coast, but they wanted to have an adventure for their engagement photos and chose to make them at their favorite spot on their favorite trail at Lake Mead NRA in Nevada. If you followed along with me on my road trip on social media, you may recall a few posts about the wind. On this day in the Nevada desert, the winds were averaging about 40mph and large rainstorms were developing to the northwest. Typically, weather like that would lead to a rescheduling of an engagement session, but Emma and Paul recognized what the photographer geek in me was leaping for joy about, that this was a rare day in the desert that wouldn’t happen again in the near future and we should take advantage of it. (Ranger was all in because he just wanted to sniff stuff.) And so you’ll see as you scroll through these photos that the colors are beautiful, and the sky is amazing, and this trio is a blast to spend an afternoon with. Any couple that laughs this much together is a couple I want to hang out with. Thanks you guys for an awesome adventure, and for the burger and beers. I can’t wait to see you guys at your wedding!
