Novem and Chris: Engagement Photos in Brooklyn, New York
The next stop on my big east coast adventure was Brooklyn, New York to meet Novem and Chris. Their wedding is in August near the Green Mountains in Vermont, but they just moved to New York and they thought it would be a good idea to make their engagement photos there. You totally know I thought that was the most awesome idea ever.
The thing that I noticed about Novem (and that I really completely adored) is that she laughs… A lot. It’s infectious. It’s wonderful. It’s completely the coolest thing ever. She has a lot of friends, and I can totally see why. I wanted to keep hanging out with them even after the session was over. I can’t wait to hang out with them at their wedding.
As I write this blog, I sit in a seat at 40,463 feet, somewhere over Oklahoma. When I look out the window, I can see massive towering clouds beneath me that are lit up in a fantastic lightning display. For dinner tonight, I feast on boutique airplane potato chips and Beck’s beer from a can. And I’m pretty sure life doesn’t get much better than this. I don’t think I could have invented a job for myself that was more perfect than this one. I feel incredibly lucky to get to travel to all these amazing places and meet amazing people like Novem and Chris… and then document a joyful pivotal point in their lives. I make people happy for a living. That’s as cool as it gets.
Novem and Chris, I’m so excited to travel to Vermont and spend a day with you, your family, and your friends. You guys are amazing and fun, and your wedding day is going to be just like you. See you in August!
