Sugarboo Farms North Georgia Wedding | Alison and Andrew

Today I’d like to tell you the story of Alison and Andrew’s sunny summer destination wedding in the mountains of north Georgia at Sugarboo Farms. Alison and Andrew met in college and have been together since 2005. Their plan was to have a low key wedding that brought together all their favorite people in a natural setting, because they love the outdoors. In fact, the outdoors has played a significant role in their relationship from the beginning. When I asked them how they got engaged, Alison told me, “Andrew proposed the first night of a backpacking trip we took to Arkansas. We got to our hike-in campsite just as it was getting dark, and I got in the tent to go to sleep after dinner. I was a little stressed because we had been running late and had to eat in the dark. Andrew followed me into the tent, and I rolled over, and he had the ring laid out and asked me. I wasn’t shocked because we had been dating for so long, and I knew it was coming at some point, but I definitely wasn’t expecting it in that moment. We had two whole days without cell service to celebrate by ourselves in the mountains.”
