Now that I’m home from my cross-country road trip/reunion tour to California and back, and now that I’ve had four solid days of sleep, it’s time to do the laundry and edit all the photos.
My first stop was in Denver to visit with Melissa and Matthew and their two munchkins Salter and Leif. The first time I met Melissa and Matthew was when we made their maternity photos in Piedmont Park a few years ago in Atlanta. Now that little bump is Salter, who to my delight has the most charming smile and the kindest soul. One look into his eyes and I was thoroughly smitten.
This was my first time meeting Leif, who immediately hopped out of the minivan and began inspecting everything. He is intensely fascinated with the world around him and spent a big part of the morning chasing grasshoppers, and there were plenty of them everywhere. By the end of the family session, I was completely head over heels for these two fascinating and magical kids, and I would have happily played with them all day.
For the record, Melissa’s social media posts are not at all biased. She is correct. They are absolutely the most amazing.
