“You know what the first rule of flying is? … Love. You can learn all the math in the ‘verse, but you take a boat in the air you don’t love, she’ll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps her in the air when she oughta fall down, tells you she’s hurting ‘fore she keens. Makes her a home.” – Captain Malcom Reynolds, Serenity
Today I want to tell you the story of the coolest couple of all. How do I know they’re cool, you ask? Because all the cool people quote Serenity in their weddings. (#truestory) This is the story of Kristina and Carlos’ amazing wedding on the last hot day of summer in Savannah, Georgia at the Georgia State Railroad Museum. Their wedding was “a blending of families and cultures- Kristina’s southern family and Carlos’ Peruvian & Yankee Family (she likes to often point out that I’m a yankee, but she likes it).” And between you and me, there were more laughs-per-minute at this wedding than in a dozen mortal weddings combined. Plus, they brought their dog Berkeley to be in the wedding, and that pretty much seals the deal. Kristina and cArlos are clearly the coolest people ever.
