“You’ve got to dance like nobody’s watching and love like it’s never going to hurt.” -unknown

Saturday was a special day. It was the day that Grace married Jamal. And they did it with style, and love, lots of love. And dancing. There was amazing dancing at this wedding.

Here’s Grace getting ready with the help of her bridesmaids and her mom. It really does take a team to put on a wedding dress.

Some of the elves have more mischief than others.

This wedding was one of the funnest weddings I’ve ever seen. There was no stress… at least not that I could see. Grace told me that when she was planning the wedding, if anything started to get complicated or hard, it got canned. And you could tell. Things went smoothly, and everyone was having fun.

I asked them to give me their best pose. I probably could have phrased it better.

This handsome young man is Jamal’s brother, who is also a photographer. We had fun talking shop.

A few tears were shed during the ceremony. It was thoughtful and sweet.

And then it was time to party.

Grace and her dad had such a touching father-daughter dance that there was not a dry eye in the room. It was so quiet as they left the dance floor… just the sound of sniffles in the room. Then….

…from the speakers came roaring forth a classic dance song (I’m kicking myself because I can’t remember it!.. was it Twist and Shout?). Grace and her dad spun around and proceeded to shred the dance floor to everyone’s delight. It. Was. Awesome.

This was a dancing crowd. Well, most of them.

There was one party-goer who seemed to think perhaps the volume might be a bit too loud. Isn’t she adorable?

And at the end of the day, two wonderful people became husband and wife, and two wonderful families came together to share their special day with them.

Thank you Grace and Jamal for allowing me to be a small part of your big day. It was an incredible pleasure to work with you. I had such a great time getting to know you and your families. You are all wonderful and amazing, and I wish you so much happiness.

And thank you, internet friend for stopping by to check out what’s going on here. Please take a moment and wish Grace and Jamal good fortune in their new life together.
