New Hampshire Fall Wedding | Kristin and Roger

Today I want to tell you the story of Kristin and Roger’s gorgeous fall wedding in New Hampshire and thereabouts. We first met them a few months back when I visited them and made their engagement photos at their home in Vermont. When I asked Kristin and Roger, who have been a couple for 13 years now, how they met, they told me that they “met in September 2003 at Mahopac High School at a meeting of Drumbeat, the school’s literary magazine. In a moment of uncharacteristic boldness, Kristin walked up to Roger and said, “I read your Livejournal and I like your writing. We should be friends.” #Early2000s. From there, it was a school year of meandering around Barnes & Noble in suburban New York, eating peanut butter and gummy bear sundaes at Friendly’s in Carmel, and going to every Rufus Wainwright concert in the tri-state area. On July 11, 2004, Roger held Kristin’s hand while they watched The Butterfly Effect and the rest is #Early2000s history.”

In the time between my visits, the weather in New England had shifted decidedly to more fall like temperatures and the leaves were spectacular (although the locals will tell you they’re never as good as last year). Kristin and Roger’s wedding day was perfectly sunny and mellow, and we had a lot of fun exploring and making portraits around The Lyme Inn after their first look. And St. Thomas Episcopal Church was the perfect spot for their wedding ceremony (and a few more portraits). But it was at the reception where everyone came to life and with some really fantastic music, everyone danced and danced for hours, giving me lots of opportunity to really make some epic dance photos. It really was an amazing day. Take a look.
