Today I want to tell you all about April and Kayla’s colorful and gorgeous fall wedding in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. There are many interesting things to tell you about Kayla and April, but the one story that they told me about their engagement has forever become one of my favorite engagement stories I’ve ever heard. Kayla says, “The proposal wasn’t a grand gesture but rather a perfect culmination – she had driven up the night before to join me in D.C., and little did I know, she had MANY surprises for me that weekend. Thursday night included dinner with my students – April tried Indian food for the first time and was not impressed, the usual networking and socials, and what felt like hours of us literally laughing until we were crying over nothing in particular…so, pretty much our usual. All of a sudden, she was like “do you want to remember this moment forever?”, and the next thing I knew she was holding out a ring. ” Friends, that is how to remember a moment forever. It seems that April and Kayla have a talent for making memorable moments, because their wedding day was full of unique and personal touches that stood out to all their guests. So congratulations to April and Kayla! And here’s to a lifetime of memorable moments!
