Amanda and Neil Get Married in the Great Smoky Mountains
This is Amanda and Neil. They are two of the nicest people you will ever meet. They were married a week ago in a beautiful ceremony just outside the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, surrounded by family and friends full of great happiness and joy.
The Smoky Mountains are one of my favorite places in the world, so I was loving every minute of this wedding. Amanda was completely game when I asked her to climb up on that hill and stand among the ferns and trees. (Shes pretty B.A.) And we agreed that the contrast of the formal gown with the forest undergrowth was really gorgeous.
Yes, my friends, that is indeed the coolest boutonniere that you have ever seen. Those are hops.. as in yummy beer-making glorious hops. These guys are passionate about their beer.
They included a ring warming into their ceremony. Their families encircled them and passed their rings around, each person pausing to think a blessing over the rings for Amanda and Neil.
And then it was time to go to the reception and celebrate.
No cake at this wedding. Instead, they had wedding tarts. Photographing these tarts was a lot of fun, because they smelled ah-mazing! Ive got a lot of photos of them.
And when it came time for toasts, there were so many! Amanda and Neil are so loved by their friends and family, that there were ten toasts. Beautiful, sweet, and loving words were spoken. Tears flowed. Champagne flowed. And beer too.
And no wedding is complete without someone leading the crowd in the traditional Thriller dance.
Its also helpful to share your favorite tequila with your favorite people.
And that, my friends, is how you have the most amazing Smoky Mountain wedding ever. Thank you so much Amanda and Neil for inviting me to be a part of your amazing day. I had a great time getting to know you and your families. And I adored ALL of you. You are amazing. I wish you many many years of happiness, joy, and good beer.
