Today I want to introduce you to Lynn and Kevin. They are the coolest couple ever. No. I’m serious! They like zombies and putt putt golf, and probably zombies playing putt putt, but I forgot to ask. They. Are. Cool. Oh, and really smart too. Lynn just got her Ph.D., and Kevin picked Lynn. Totally smart. But enough of me talking. Lynn is going to tell you more about them.

How did you meet? We were set up by a very good mutual friend — the internet. Seriously, Okay Cupid’s matching algorithm put Kevin as my best match and the rest is history.

Describe your proposal. If Amelia Pond (of Doctor Who) is “the girl who waited,” I am “the girl who couldn’t wait.” After a few conversations that I initiated in July, we declared ourselves engaged and started planning a wedding. An actual proposal is still forthcoming (it might even beat the wedding which is just over a month away).

What was dating like? We dated for just over two years before getting engaged and quickly became best friends. We like challenging each other to try new things, such as half marathons and triathlons, and enjoy dreaming big dreams together about our future(s). Other than having to negotiate which television shows we would watch together, and which Kevin would watch with his other best friend, our relationship has been pretty drama-free.

How would you describe your relationship? Our relationship is playful, relaxed, loving and honest.

What is your wedding going to be like? Our wedding will be all of those things. We are having a small wedding in Destin, and most of our guests are family. We plan to get married on the beach in the morning, play miniature golf in the afternoon, and have dinner and chill out in the evening.

See?!? I told you they were awesome. I’m so excited to photograph this wedding, and not just because of the putt putt (though that’s darn cool), but because they are so playful and fun to be around. They are genuine and loving, and sweet and happy. And not one bit afraid of me and my ginormous camera. Oh, also, totally willing to laugh at (with) me when I fall down (stupid shoes). So thank you Lynn and Kevin for playing with me on a really hot Wednesday afternoon. I can’t wait for your wedding!
